What makes SAN Boate stand out

Rio Vermelho is Salvador’s nightlife district, with bars, acarajé stalls and nightlife right by the sea. SAN Boate is here in the so-called Pirâmide and is the largest queer club in the city. Across five areas with several dance floors, people party until the early morning.

Part of the concept is SAN Bar on the same street, where people meet beforehand for drinks and snacks. At Carnival and around Pride season, the club puts on big special parties.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is young, mixed queer and up for a party, with many gay men from Salvador and guests from the rest of Brazil. It fills up after midnight. For the way home at night, it’s best to use a taxi or ride-hailing app.
