What makes The Little Gay Pub special
Three longtime bartenders from D.C. run the bar. Gilded mirrors, photos of 1960s gay rights marches and a red London phone box shape the room, and upstairs there’s a pink-lit garden room. The music is quiet, and people talk rather than dance. From the roof terrace you look out onto a mural of city planner Ed Bacon.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for cocktails at conversation volume
- like queer history
- want to sit on a roof terrace
Not ideal if you …
- want to dance
