What makes Stir Lounge special
Stir Lounge is on Chancellor Street, a narrow side street between Walnut and Locust Street near Rittenhouse Square, and so a little away from the Gayborhood. It’s a small, relaxed lounge where people meet for an after-work drink.
From Tuesday to Sunday there’s happy hour from 5 to 7 pm, and on Thursdays at „Stirsday“ especially cheap well drinks and later a DJ. During the week there are also watch parties and mixers. Beer and wine are also available to take away.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is mixed, all genders, mostly from the neighbourhood. The mood is quiet and friendly, more lounge than party.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for a relaxed, mixed queer bar
- live or are staying in Rittenhouse
- like an early-evening happy hour
Not ideal if you …
- want to dance
- want to go out on a Monday
