What makes The San Diego LGBT Community Center special
The centre works with more than 115 employees and over 1,200 volunteers. Besides counselling and social services there’s an events programme with art exhibitions, readings and memorial events. For travellers it’s mainly a point of contact for information and help. Opening hours aren’t on the website, so it’s worth calling ahead.
Programme
There are dedicated services for Black, Latinx, women, men, families, young people and people over 50. In autumn 2026, for example, the art exhibition Ageless Artists and the Wall of Honor ceremony were on the programme.
