What makes Theatron stand out

Theatron opened in 2002 in a former cinema in Chapinero, Bogotá’s queer district. Across more than a dozen floors there’s reggaeton, pop, electro, salsa and crossover, and each room has its own style. There’s a drag bar, a men-only rooftop bar with go-go shows and a women-only area.

On Thursdays and Fridays not all areas are open; Saturday is the big night with several thousand guests. Some tickets include drink credit or an open bar. Entry from age 18, original ID only, copies are not accepted.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is young, mixed and mainly Colombian, plus many travellers. With over 5,000 reviews and 4.4 stars, Theatron is one of the best-known queer venues in South America. Guests appreciate the variety of rooms and the huge party.
