What makes the Tool Shed special

The Tool Shed is a little away from Arenas Road in the Sunny Dunes neighbourhood, within walking distance of the men’s resorts of Warm Sands. Inside it’s a classic dive bar, and outside there’s a large covered patio where the real action happens in the desert heat. The bar is home to the local leather club and hosts charity events.

Thursday is Underwear Night with free coat check and a weekly contest for $150. During the week there’s music bingo and game show nights, and around Palm Springs Leather Pride at the end of October the Dark Alley parties take place. Outside the theme nights, normal clothes are completely fine.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mostly adult gay men: leathermen, bears and lots of locals, rather on the older side. The mood is matey, and the bar and staff are praised. Later in the evening guests from the surrounding resorts drop in.
