What makes Zoom stand out

Zoom has been a fixture of Porto’s queer nightlife for years. The former warehouse on Rua de Passos Manuel is decorated with vintage and fetish details, the dance floor is large and huge disco balls hang above it. There are themed parties with DJs, go-go dancers and drag shows on some nights.

Musically, pop and dance dominate. Reviews mainly praise the music, the DJs and the young, exuberant atmosphere. The drinks are considered cheap.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mostly gay, male and on the young side, with many locals. If you arrive early, the room is often still empty; it only fills up after midnight, and much later at weekends.
