What makes dbar special

dbar is on Dorchester Avenue in the Dorchester neighbourhood, a little south of downtown, in a former Irish pub. It is a restaurant with seasonal American cuisine, from pasta and risotto to salmon, scallops and steak. Later in the evening the dining room turns into a lounge.

Every third Saturday of the month there is a cabaret dinner with a show, plus wine dinners focusing on individual regions. Boston Magazine has repeatedly included dbar in its “Best of Boston” list.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mixed, with many gay and lesbian guests from the neighbourhood, couples and groups of friends. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the dress code is smart casual.
