What makes the hotel stand out

Travel Gay describes Casa Cupula as a “gay-owned luxury hotel” in the Zona Romántica, and GayPV has listed it as a gay boutique hotel for years. The concept is clearly aimed at LGBTQ+ guests: pool parties, a clothing-optional pool club and a crowd that deliberately chooses a queer hotel. At the same time, it’s much quieter than the beach hotels down on the Malecón.

Rooms and amenities

The rooms are individually furnished, many with sea or city views, minibar and some with a small kitchenette; some deluxe categories have a hot tub on the balcony. There are three pool areas, a roof terrace, steam room, sauna, gym, restaurant and bar. Guests praise the view and staff; the steep walk up the hill is the most common criticism.
