What makes the Bar do Deca stand out

The bar is at the northern end of Praia Mole, near the path to Praia da Galheta. During the day you sit at tables in the sand and order from over 40 drinks, from caipirinhas and beer to fresh coconut water. The kitchen serves pastéis, prawns, squid and the region’s well-known oysters.

On Sundays the beach bar becomes a club: from the afternoon, resident DJs and guests from all over Brazil play, with dancers and hostesses. On top of that there are big theme nights such as Halloween or the residents’ birthday parties, which go on until sunrise on the beach, with breakfast and a jeep transfer.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is colourfully mixed: gay men, lesbians and queer groups of friends from Floripa, plus many tourists. It’s busiest on summer Sundays and around Carnival, when the mood is exuberant and there’s a lot of flirting. During the week things are more relaxed.
