What makes Monroe’s special

The owners are big fans of Marilyn Monroe, and it shows: dozens of pictures of the Hollywood icon hang throughout the bar. On the right there are bar tables with upholstered seating and bar stools, on the left the bar. There’s also a larger outdoor area screened from view by an awning and a hedge.

Monroe’s is the start and end point of many evenings. Most people come for a first drink or to wind down, and when the other places close, many head here. Thanks to the central location the crowd is very mixed: mostly men between 30 and 60, plus straight guests. Musically it’s mainly pop and Schlager.

The menu has long drinks, cocktails from €10.50, beer, wine, sparkling wine and hot drinks. Rubens at the Hans-im-Glück fountain is just a few minutes’ walk away.
