What makes Florence Baths stand out
Florence Baths has been the city’s gay sauna since 1991 and is centrally located in the San Lorenzo district, a few minutes’ walk from the main station. Inside there is a new Swedish sauna, Turkish steam bath, showers, relaxation areas, cabins, a darkroom, a small gym and a bar.
The real trump card in summer is the roof terrace with whirlpool and garden in the open air.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is mixed, Florentines and travellers, many between 30 and 70. It is busiest in the late afternoon and early evening. Guests praise the recently renovated areas, the new sauna, the spacious changing rooms and the friendly staff.
