What makes HERO Bar stand out

HERO Bar opened in 2016 and is on Kunming Street, a few minutes from the Red House. Entry is discreet: you ring the bell at the door and are let upstairs. Across several floors there’s food, a DJ and karaoke.

Reviews revolve a lot around singing, as karaoke is a fixed part of the night. The cocktails get praise too, for example with passion fruit and oolong tea. You can also pay by card.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mostly male and rather young, with many locals and regulars. The team gets the most praise: guests feel at home straight away, especially when they come alone. As the night goes on, the mood gets more exuberant.
