What makes Island House special

Island House was founded on Fleming Street in 1976 and is one of the oldest gay-run guesthouses in the Florida Keys. The resort is spread over several buildings around a large heated pool with loungers and a sun deck.

The gym and spa with steam room, sauna and two large hot tubs are open around the clock, plus massages by the pool. Hotel guests get four free drinks at the daily happy hour. Clothing is optional everywhere except the gym.

Atmosphere and crowd

Men 21+ only, many between 40 and 65, regulars from the US and Canada as well as first-timers. The mood by the pool is sociable and open, and it is especially busy during Fantasy Fest and bear weekends.
