What makes Surowiec stand out

Surowiec is in the back courtyard of Ruska 46, known as the Neon Courtyard: old illuminated signs from around the city hang here, a popular photo spot in Wrocław. The club is a gallery and stage at once, with brick walls, neon light and home-made drinks.

The programme is broad: drag shows, karaoke, bingo, art events and theme nights with music from the 90s and 2000s, many organised by collectives from the queer scene. In Pride month in June, Surowiec is the central meeting place for the city’s queer initiatives. On Fridays and Saturdays the party goes on until morning.
