Wrocław

Wrocław is one of the youngest and most creative cities in Poland – and you can feel that at night too. The scene is small, but in the art club Surowiec it has a real favourite spot.

The scene

The centre is Surowiec in the atmospheric Neon Courtyard on Ruska, where drag, karaoke, art and club nights come together. At weekends it is busy here until the early morning. If you like things more explicit, Cactus Club is the city’s largest cruise club. Beyond that, much happens at queer parties and in community groups.

When to go?

• June – Pride Month & Marsz Równości: Wrocław’s Equality March and queer events, many of them at Surowiec (check the date with the organisers).
• Weekly – karaoke & bingo at Surowiec: regular weeknight events, current programme on the social media channels (check the date with the organisers).

Practical tips

• Wrocław is a student city and open, but in Poland the rule still applies: outside the venues it is best to stay discreet, especially at night.
• Legally, same-sex couples in Poland are not recognised (as of 2026) – neither marriage nor registered partnership.
• The Neon Courtyard at Ruska 46 is also worth a visit during the day – a perfect photo spot before the evening at Surowiec.
