What makes The Forest stand out

Avenida Sá Carneiro, known locally as “The Strip”, is Albufeira’s party mile and mostly straight. Around Connection Bar and Dark by Nude, however, a small queer stretch has formed, and The Forest is part of it.

The evening starts relaxed in the lounge and on the terrace, later DJs take over with dance music, themed parties and drag performances. It is run by the Nude group, which also operates the cruising bar Dark by Nude nearby.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mixed queer, with many holidaymakers in summer. Fixed weekdays for shows and parties are not published, the club announces its programme at short notice on Facebook.

A good fit if you …

  • want to party queer in the Algarve in summer
  • like a lounge and a club in one place
  • are looking for drag and themed parties

Not ideal if you …

  • are visiting outside the summer season
  • are looking for a quiet cocktail bar
Our tip: Check current hours and the party programme on Facebook beforehand. Come to the terrace at sunset and move on to neighbouring Dark by Nude later if you’re more in the mood for cruising.
