What makes Tipsy Bear special
Tipsy Bear sees itself as a queer bar and performance space. Most evenings there is a programme from 7:30 to 10 pm: drag shows, game and social nights and other shows. After that it becomes a bar, with DJs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 pm. Cocktails, mocktails and draught beer are served.
The crowd is queer mixed and very international, most guests are between 25 and 45. In Prenzlauer Berg, where queer bars are rare, Tipsy Bear is an important meeting point for the neighbourhood.
The bar opens daily at 6 pm. Happy hour is from 6 to 7 pm and from 10 to 11 pm. Eberswalder Straße U-Bahn station is right outside the door, and Bärenhöhle on Schönhauser Allee is two stops away.
