What makes Turma OK stand out
Turma OK is more an association than a bar: a meeting place with a long history where the tradition of transformista shows is kept alive. The venue also hosts cultural programmes, for example at the Festival Rio LGBTQIA+ 2026 with a film screening followed by a drag show.
Shows
The focus is on stage nights with drag queens and transformistas. During festivals there are also film nights and talks; tickets are available at the door.
A good fit if you …
- want to learn about Rio’s queer history
- like classic drag and travesti shows
Not ideal if you …
- are looking for a club with a DJ until morning
