What makes The Closet special
Founders Rose Pohl and Judi Petrovsky sold the bar in 2024 to Jay Bell, who kept the staff and character. Bar stools, string lights and decades of guest photos define the small room. Google ratings are mixed (3.2 from 137); prices and service are criticised, while individual bartenders are praised.
A good fit if you …
- want to experience queer history in a small bar
- want a drink late at night
Not ideal if you …
- expect lots of space or a big programme
