Vilnius is charming, baroque and queer in small but fine doses. The scene is manageable – but with SOHO the city has one of the most long-established clubs in the Baltics.

The scene

The evening is best started at VOX Bar on the edge of the Old Town, where a gay couple welcomes guests with cocktails and conversation. At the weekend everyone then moves on to SOHO Club in the New Town – two floors, drag shows and partying until 7 am. If you prefer things steamy, Glamour Sauna is the only gay sauna in Lithuania. During the week it is quiet; Friday and Saturday are the days to come for.

When to go?

  • June – Lithuanian Pride: in 2026 Pride week ran from 2 to 6 June with cabaret, a conference, a parade along Gediminas Avenue and an open-air concert in Kalnų Park. For 2027, check the date with the organisers.
  • Every weekend – SOHO Drag & Clubnight: on Fridays and Saturdays there are usually drag shows or themed parties (check the programme on the club’s Instagram).

Practical tips

  • Lithuania is still socially conservative: outside the scene venues, public displays of affection are not received calmly everywhere – discretion is advisable, especially at night.
  • There is no legal marriage or registered partnership (as of 2026); in 2025, however, the Constitutional Court called for the recognition of same-sex couples.
  • The Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) is the point of contact for community events and up-to-date information.
