Stockholm is open-minded, stylish and spread across fourteen islands. There’s no classic gay strip – the scene is well integrated into the city.
Södermalm and Gamla Stan
On Södermalm you’ll find Side Track, the neighbourhood’s gay bar for years. In the Old Town, Gamla Stan, people meet at Café Chokladkoppen on Stortorget or at the restaurant The Secret Garden with its terrace.
When to go?
- Late July/early August – Stockholm Pride: Scandinavia’s largest Pride, with a parade and festival.

Our favourites
