Las Palmas is the capital of Gran Canaria, with the city beach of Las Canteras and the historic Vegueta quarter. The city’s queer scene is local in character, while tourism is concentrated in Maspalomas in the south.
The scene
The city has a few smaller bars around Santa Catalina, as well as the Sauna Portugal in the centre, which is frequented mainly by men from Gran Canaria. For the big scene, many head to Maspalomas.
