Paphos

Paphos is a coastal town in south-west Cyprus with a harbour, ancient excavations and beach resorts. There is only a small-scale queer scene, and it depends heavily on the holiday season.

The scene

The meeting point is the pub Different Bar. Beyond that, the community mixes with everyone else in the bars around the harbour and in Kato Paphos.

When to go

  • April to October: swimming season, with more travellers and longer opening hours
  • June: Cyprus Pride in Nicosia, around two hours away by car or bus
