Le Grau-du-Roi is a seaside resort in the Gard at the mouth leading into the Camargue. Queer life here mainly takes place on the beach in summer.
The scene
The meeting point is the Plage de l’Espiguette, a wide natural beach with a naturist section, at the end of which gay men gather. Bars and clubs can be found in Montpellier, around 35 km away.

- Summer: swimming season; the beach car park then charges a fee and fills up early on hot weekends
