Lithuania is the most conservative of the three Baltic countries – but Vilnius becomes more open with every Pride. The scene is small and concentrated in the capital with its long-standing club SOHO.
Legal situation: Marriage or registered partnership for same-sex couples is not regulated by law (as of 2026); in 2025 the Constitutional Court ruled that same-sex couples are also entitled to legal recognition as a family. Discrimination in employment is prohibited. A “protection of minors” law restricting information about same-sex relationships was classed as discriminatory by the European Court of Human Rights in 2023.
