Slovenia is the most open country of the former Yugoslavia and is considered a very relaxed destination. The scene is small and closely tied to alternative culture in Ljubljana.
Legal situation: Since 2022 same-sex couples have been able to marry and adopt children together – following a Constitutional Court ruling that parliament implemented the same year. Discrimination based on sexual orientation is prohibited by law.
