Buenos Aires is the queer metropolis of the south – with tango, nights that last until breakfast and a self-confident community. Here the evening starts late and ends when the sun has already risen.
Palermo & Recoleta
In Palermo Soho you start at the video bar Peuteo before heading to Glam or, on Thursdays, to Club 69 at Niceto Club. Feliza on Avenida Córdoba combines a bar, roof terrace and dance nights, while Contramano gathers men from their mid-thirties upwards. The big club Amerika now only opens for events, and in Villa Crespo Casa Brandon invites you for culture and karaoke.
When to go?
- November – Marcha del Orgullo: The Pride march heads to Plaza de Mayo, usually on the first Saturday in November; in 2025 it was on 1 November (check dates with the organiser).
- All year – queer tango: At milongas such as La Marshall and Tango Queer, people of all genders dance both roles.
Our favourites
- Club 69 – show, art and house in one night
- Casa Brandon – queer culture with a living-room feel
Queer city tours
Want to get to know the scene during the day too? A tour with local guides is a great way to do it:
- Queer history walking tour – on foot through the city
- Noche LGBTIQ – queer evening with a guide

Practical tips
- Arrive late: clubs open at midnight, fill up after 2am and the party goes on until 6 or 7am.
- Many parties change night and venue – check Instagram beforehand to see what’s on.
- Pickpocketing is common on buses, the underground and in busy neighbourhoods; take a taxi or ride-hailing service at night.
