Benidorm

Benidorm is the party town of the Costa Blanca – and its Old Town hides one of the densest gay scenes in Spain. Bars, drag stages and clubs line up along just a handful of lanes, and most are open almost all year round.

Old Town & Carrer d’Alacant

The gay quarter lies in the Old Town between Carrer d’Alacant, Santa Faç and Sant Vicent. Start the evening on the terrace at Company Bar, then laugh along at the shows at Kafee Klee or Bar Poco Loco. Escape Bar is the go-to meeting point in between, and anyone who wants to dance until morning ends up at Bar Mercury. The crowd is international, strongly British and on the more mature side.

When to go?

  • September – Benidorm Pride: A whole week of Pride with a parade and parties, from 1 to 6 September in 2026.
  • Winter – low season: Many bars stay open in winter too, when Benidorm is quieter and cheaper (check opening hours in advance).
