Kenosha is a port city on Lake Michigan in south-eastern Wisconsin, roughly halfway between Milwaukee and Chicago. The queer scene essentially consists of one club that draws guests from across the region.

The scene

The meeting point is Club Icon on 120th Avenue near Interstate 94, the region’s LGBTQ+ dance club since 2006. At weekends there are DJ nights, and during the week drag bingo, karaoke and Latin nights.

When to go?

  • Friday and Saturday: club nights at Club Icon until 2:30am
  • October: Halloween parties at Club Icon (on 24 and 31 October in 2026)
